Most people would agree that spending time in nature makes us happier and healthier. Based on our own experience and intuition, we look to the outdoors and nature to bring balance to our lives. Building on intuition, empirical research is growing in support of the human health and well-being benefits of time spent in nature.
Join us at this exciting, collaborative forum to explore in more detail these benefits and how we can build communities that truly are Healthy by Nature. Increasing access to nature requires a multi-sector approach - this forum will bring together professionals from health, land use planning, parks and recreation, education, environment and others to develop key strategies to move Healthy by Nature principles into the future.
If these principles resonate with you, we want you to join us for Healthy by Nature in Vancouver September 20-23, 2011.
